![]() (From the perspective of this amateur writer, a good short story can do so much with so few words.) Vibrant paintings, fluttering poetry and the immersive novel all have their places in my heart, but it is the simply elegant short story that is my bread and butter, particularly due to its ability to communicate mind-opening ideas with an average of a fifteen-minute read. But if you keep reading, perhaps you’ll consider that what great works of art can offer us is an insight into the question itself. ![]() Because of this, you could stop reading, as the answer is unlikely to change within the time it takes you to finish this article. ![]() This question of “you” has been pondered through all means of philosophy and literature (and by myself during late night showers at 3:00 a.m.), and undoubtedly the only conclusion is that there is none. If you are reading this, you are probably a human being.īut what distinguishes you - whoever you are, dear reader - from other human beings? Is it the pattern of electricity circuiting your brain, the arrangement of your neurons and their delicate dendrites and axons or perhaps something that cannot be fully rationalized by neurobiology alone? ![]() ![]() Mmmmm yes, me likey! □ I don’t know how these two ladies do it but they get me to love their shorties every time! Holding His Forever is the story of Derek Phoenix (a hot firefighter that is haunted by the loss of his friends at work) and Fia Clover (a lonely young woman who struggles to pay her studies and everything changes for her when caveman Derek saves her from a fire in her building). Another great addition to Alexa Riley’s shorties! It has been quite a while since I read something by these two lovely ladies and it was time to check it out again! And this made me fall in love all over again with their over-the-top love stories! ![]() ![]() ![]() This systematic denigration includes not only the misogynistic mentality, but the historical suppression of women's ideas and creations. Whether through direct or indirect pressure, such communities reduce the innate human value of women, at the same time as the patriarchal system reduces them to virtual slavery. She bears witness to a culture which has taught women to be submissive and accept the fact that their societal value only exists in relation and deference to men. ![]() The author delivers an important message about the deception and brainwashing of women in these communities. Her analysis begins with personal stories and everyday instances of misogynistic behavior suffered by herself and those around her. The author has witnessed first-hand the role of cultural influences in her religion and society. He was an experimental thinker with eclectic passions-an avid, self-educated historian and a disciple of Gandhian non-violent protest. Chavez emerges here as a visionary figure with tragic flaws a brilliant strategist who sometimes stumbled and a canny, streetwise organizer whose pragmatism was often at odds with his elusive, soaring dreams. In the first comprehensive biography of Chavez, Miriam Pawel offers a searching yet empathetic portrayal. Yet his life story has been told only in hagiography-until now. Two decades after his death, Chavez remains the most significant Latino leader in US history. He rose from migrant worker to national icon, becoming one of the great charismatic leaders of the 20th century. Cesar Chavez founded a labor union, launched a movement, and inspired a generation. ![]() ![]() He is expected to depart on Saturday following the coronation festivities. on Friday morning, and was put up at his and Meghan's former home, Frogmore Cottage. Once thought to be an enormous black hole, the Void, which supposedly contains an entire micro-universe inside an impenetrable event horizon, slowly devours stars to sustain itself. Humankind in the 34th century has effectively conquered mortality, but many humans are still searching for existential transcendence, and a growing number believe the answer can be found inside the Void at the galactic center.
